Describe Employee Duties/Responsibilities
Support the bulk media and prep column and supplies business in China . To liaison with Polymer Labs, Middelburg and LakeForest and assist in Taiwan and possibly Korea .
Essential experience:

|
Main Functions:
- Responsible for managing Varian's Application Laboratory with a main focus to develop application notes for each major market segment
- Work closely with Field Marketing who drives the focus of the application lab.
- Prepares posters and presentations together with application notes .
- Responsible for the application laboratory and materials. Makes sure all material remains in optimum condition and application data is of superior quality and commercially effective.
- Stays at the top of knowledge of the techniques
- Keeps track of competitive environment and application efforts.
- Submits Monthly Report as defined by Management
Required characteristics:
- Capable to motivate and drive production of application notes with a commercial touch (not just scientific).
- Balances needs on "perfect" application notes vs. getting them out to the field, e.g. understanding the urgency in some matters.
- Understanding of global impact and requirements for application notes.
- Participate in the technical program activities of key international standards organizations (analyze “round robin” samples, test evolving methods etc.)
- Stable personality, highly energetic and not easy to stress.
- Broad operational familiarity with personal computers, Microsoft Windows environment, MS Office Professional, and any one or more of the common industry chromatography data handling software systems
- Has authored technical papers with acceptance and placement in scientific publications
- Written and spoken English is a must
- Enhanced presentation and communication skills |
