HeliTest™ Sniffer Leak Detector
The Varian, Inc. HeliTest Sniffing Leak Detector is a unique instrument for portable leak detection. The patented HeliTest sensor is based on a completely new technology that provides high sensitivity and helium selectivity for accurately locating leaks by the sniffing method.
The basic HeliTest Leak Detector module weighs only 4.5 pounds (2.0 kg) without battery and measures less than 8 inches wide by 3.5 inches high. This compactness and light weight, together with its rugged construction, make it ideal for all kinds of portable leak-detection work.
Other features of the HeliTest Leak Detector include:
- No specific operator training required
- Leak rate indicated both visually and by audio signal
- No tuning required
- Autozero feature automatically cancels out background helium signal
- No maintenance required other than battery charging
Special adaptations of the HeliTest Leak Detector are the HeliTest Rack, for situations where portability is not needed, and the HeliTest GEN, for leak-checking power plant steam condensers.
