Models 990 CLD & 990 dCLD II Component Leak Detectors
The Varian, Inc. Model 990 Component Leak Detectors are modular leak-testing packages that can be incorporated into any system that employs vacuum. They are intended for applications in which the leak-detector components are more or less permanently mounted. The rack-mountable electronics module of the Model 990 Component Leak Detector may be separated from the helium-sensing module (the spectrometer/turbo head) by as much as 15 feet (4.5 meters), permitting a great deal of flexibility in your system’s design.
Every Model 990 Component Leak Detector has a variety of electronic interfaces to enable communication between it and a host computer or programmable logic controller (PLC), permitting the integration of the Model 990 into your automation scheme.
There are two different versions of the Model 990 Component Leak Detector.
- The Model 990 CLD is more basic, with analog circuitry and manual controls for calibration, background supression, and range-setting.
- The Model 990 dCLD II is more advanced, with digital circuitry and automatic calibration, background suppression, and range-setting.
